Training Stay Command For Dogs…? This Works!
When training the stay command for dogs, be ready to implement a lot of positive reinforcement. Make sure you are willing to praise with plenty of treats, pats on the back and provide lots of verbal encouragement.
These rewards are given when the dog exhibits good behavior, each and every time that you think the dog even slightly understands what you are trying to teach him. When training the stay command for dogs, it has a lot to do with boundary training. This is very important to learn, you do not want the dog to run away or get lost.
It is helpful if the dog has a basic understanding of obedience commands while training the stay command for dogs. Stay and Heel are especially helpful when it comes to learning how to do this. When training the stay command for dogs, do not allow him to roam freely. If the dog tries to wander his own way, tell him no, give a tug if needed, do not jerk hard.
