Learning some tips about urinary track health for cats can go a long way to preventing infections and bladder stones. Best of all, these same tips can also be used for treatment. Read this short article to help your cat get healthy and stay that way.

First, let’s talk about the symptoms. Since a cat with an infection is in pain, the cat may pee outside the litter box because it associates the litter box with pain. Cats may also cry when urinating, may bleed or may not want to drink water. If notice any of these symptoms, take your cat to the vet to rule out any other problems. Don’t delay because if a urinary track infection in male cats is left unattended, this could cause the kidneys to shut down.

Once your pet has been diagnosed, your vet may prescribe antibiotics which can help restore urinary track health for cats, but there are some issues that you need to be aware of. First, antibiotics are drugs and some cats just can’t tolerate them. If the side effects from the antibiotics make your cats worse, then the drugs are not doing their job. Also, some bacteria has become resistant to antibiotics, which could heal the infection only partially and set your cat up for recurring problems.

This is why many people use natural remedies instead of antibiotics. Made from natural herbs and other plant-based ingredients, they have no side effects and will not interact in a negative way with any other medicine that your cat may need to take. Best of all they work by giving the body what it needs to restore the proper pH level to the bladder, so the bladder will dissolve any bladder stones and eliminate infection completely. This is a good way to treat and prevent urinary track infections in male cats since these herbs are gentle enough to use every day if needed.

Since there are many remedies on the market, here’s what to look for in a good one. Make sure the remedy contains herbs that have proven to be effective including Staphysagris, Uva Ursi and Cantharis. These plant-based ingredients will restore the pH of the bladder, dissolving bladder stones, eliminating infection and quickly reducing pain and inflammation. This formulation is also an excellent preventative medicine for urinary track health for cats because it helps to maintain a healthy urine flow and can be given daily to aged cats or those who have recurring problems. One of the most loving things you can do for your pet is to first treat and then prevent the problem from coming back.

Here are a few additional tips to prevent urinary track infection in male cats. First, make sure your cat has access to fresh water throughout the day. Water helps flush the kidneys and remove toxins from the bladder. Make sure to give your pet water from a tap filter, so you are not giving your cat a bowl of chemicals, which is the case for most city-treated water.

Next, make sure your cat is eating healthy food, instead of the equivalent of human junk food. Just like you read labels when choosing food for yourself, do the same for your cat. Many of the top commercial brands are full of byproducts, cheap grains and chemicals. Eating poor quality food can damage health and affect the pH of the bladder.

The third thing to do is make sure your cat has a clean litter box. When the litter box is clean, your cat will want to do his business regularly. Although these sound like simple steps, it is the simple things in life that usually work the best.

Worried about a cat bladder problem? In this article, you’ll learn about what causes these issues in the first place and how to heal them quickly and effectively with minimal expense.

A cat’s bladder problem can often be traced to improper pH levels in the bladder. A proper pH level is essential to prevent the formation of bladder stones and to stop bacteria from growing which can lead to an infection. These are the two most common problems with the bladder and if left untreated, they can cause serious complications.

This is why if you see the symptoms of a cat bladder problem (difficulty urinating, excessive drinking, not drinking at all, painful urination, peeing outside the litter box), you need to get your pet to the vet as soon as possible for a conclusive diagnosis. If your pet has struvite bladder crystals or a urinary tract infection, then it’s important to understand that you have a choice about the treatment. While most vets will recommend antibiotics, this may not be the best option for your pet and so, it pays to be informed.

Antibiotics are used so commonly that we often forget that they are drugs and that all drugs have side effects. In some cases, antibiotics can actually make your pet worse, especially if your cat is sensitive to drugs. Another thing to know is that some antibiotics are not as effective as they used to be because over time, bacteria strains evolve, making the drugs designed to treat them less effective. Of course, the biggest thing you need to understand is that drugs won’t actually heal cat’s bladder problem, but only suppress the symptoms with the hope that the body will heal itself.

Of course this does not always happen which is why many pets end up with recurring bladder problems. A way to avoid all this is to give your pet a natural remedy instead. There are many positives to doing so. First, natural remedies have no side effects. Second, you don’t have to worry about them interacting with any other medicine your pet might be taking. Third, they actually get to the source of the problem by naturally restoring the pH of the bladder, reducing swelling, inflammation and pain and healing irritated tissues. Gentle but highly effective, they can be used as a treatment for a cat bladder problem as well as daily prevention, especially for cats that are elderly or have a tendency to have bladder issues.

If you decide to go the natural route, make sure to do your research because some remedies are better than others. Look for one that contains proven ingredients like Uva Ursi, Staphysagris and Cantharis. This is the best and most effective formulation for treating your cats bladder problem so that it heals quickly and completely. As mentioned before, it is also gentle enough to use daily for prevention.

In addition to giving your pet a remedy, make sure to feed your cat healthy food that is made from good quality protein and does not contain chemicals or cheap grains. Processed pet food can alter the pH of the bladder, setting the stage for urinary issues. Also make sure your cat has lots of fresh, clean water. Make sure to use a tap filter to eliminate chemicals that can adversely affect bladder health.

A dog uses his mouth for many things. Among these would be to eat, to communicate with us and other animals, to gnaw, crush, and grind things. He also uses it to carry food and objects from one place to another. Needless to say, the mouth has a very significant function in your dog’s life.

When you notice that your dog has bad breath, it could be a sign of a health problem that needs to be addressed right away.

Periodontal Disease

This is a condition brought about mostly by the accumulation of tartar in the mouth. It is a common disease that in fact, about 50-80% of dogs has it. Food particles left in the mouth after a meal will eventually decompose. As a result, bacteria will grow in numbers forming plaque and tartar.

When this happens, tartar will push the gums farther from the teeth, causing them to loosen as time passes by. Loosened teeth can expose root sockets, thereby infecting it. Infection then goes to the bloodstream, and then on to the liver, kidney, and eventually, the heart.

Signs of Periodontal Disease

The following are tell-tale signs of the disease:

1. Change in eating habits.

2. Pawing (at the mouth)

3. Excessive drooling

4. Tenderness in the mouth

5. Oral bleeding

6. Inflammation and swelling (face, particularly around the eyes)

7. Nasal discharge

8. Sneezing

9. Bad breath

Of all the common symptoms, the most obvious would be bad breath.

Treatment

Once you suspect your dog has periodontal disease, take him to the vet right away. He can clean your dog’s mouth and prescribe medication, possibly antibiotics.

Prevention

Food has something to do with it. Studies show that a diet consisting mostly of canned meals (soft food) is never a good idea. Experts agree that dry food has a lowered risk, in terms of getting this disease.

Another way to prevent periodontal disease is to have dental checkups once a year. You can also give your dog herbal supplements, of which Echinacea is the most recommended. This can be in the form of mouthwash or tea.

Brushing! Just like us, we can keep our dog’s mouth clean and healthy with regular brushing.

You have a role to play in ensuring your dog is in the best of health. Do not wait until such time when he is already suffering from problems in his liver, kidney, and heart. Keep his mouth and body healthy.

Couple this with that fact that antibiotics are not as effective as they once were because they are so overused that certain strains of bacteria have become resistant to them.

Puppies, just like human beings, are prone to illnesses and injuries. Because of this, it is vital that pet owners do everything that they can in order to keep their pets healthy over the years. While getting your puppy plenty of exercise and buying it high quality food can go a long way in protecting your puppy’s health, things can still happen that will force you to take your puppy to the veterinarian.

In these cases, it is very important that you have puppy health insurance because veterinarian bills can add up very quickly. Many people in Great Britain are unaware of how much a hospital visit can cost for a human being because the healthcare system takes care of these costs. The cost of a veterinarian visit might not be as high, but it is still significant, especially if you have to make multiple visits per year.

Puppy insurance will make sure that your puppy is covered all year around, so that you will not have to shell out the money if your puppy gets sick. Since certain injuries can cost you thousands of pounds, it is vital that you get this insurance to save you the money. While there are many exclusions found in these policies, such as spaying and neutering, grooming, pre-existing conditions, and parasites, most surgeries, and office visits generally are covered. You can also receive coverage on antibiotics, x-rays, and any possible hospital stays for your puppy.

This insurance is important because many people are forced to put their puppies down every year for conditions that are curable. The reason that these individuals choose to euthanise their pets is down to simple finance, they cannot afford the procedure that would potentially save its life. In other cases, puppies are forced to live their lives in pain because their owner cannot afford a procedure, which is just as sad.

The good news is that this is preventable through some nicely priced puppy insurance. You would not want to be left deciding on how important your puppy truly is to you when faced with a multiple thousand-pound vet bill, so make sure that you look into puppy insurance. You will not regret your decision to purchase one of these affordable plans because, unlike other types of insurance, it is almost guaranteed that you will use it.

The amount that your puppy insurance will costs depends on which company that you go through and how healthy your puppy currently is. Your puppy’s insurance will probably be less than that of an older dog because your puppy will be less likely to have any pre-existing conditions because of its age. The most common policies include a yearly exam, micro-chipping, deworming, and one major surgery. Many puppy policies also include the puppy’s vaccinations because that is very important during the first few months of the dog’s life. If you truly want your puppy to have the best of everything in life and to be taken care of in case the unforeseen occurs, then you will want to invest in some puppy insurance as soon as possible.

Treating bladder stones in dogs quickly is essential because in addition to being extremely painful, bladder crystals can lead to other more serious complications. In this article, you’ll learn what to do about this painful problem and how to prevent your dog from ever having to suffer from them again.

When you take your pet to a vet to treat bladder stones in dogs, antibiotics will most likely be prescribed, but this is not a good course of action because antibiotics are drugs and all drugs have side effects. Some of these side effects can prolong pain and suffering and actually make your dog worse. Also, since antibiotics do not heal the source of the problem, but only relieve the symptoms (in the hope that the body will heal itself), they can also set the stage for recurring issues.

Obviously, you want to get your dog out of pain as quickly as possible, so what should you do instead? There are three simple steps that you can take that are healthy ways of treating bladder stones in dogs without side effects or complications. First, make sure your dog always has a big bowl of fresh clean water. Filtered water is best because it eliminates the chemicals in tap water. In fact, a tap filter will work fine. Water will keep your dog hydrated and flush toxins from the bladder and kidneys.

Second, feed your dog healthy kibble. Many pet owners aren’t aware that commercial brands contain chemicals, additives, and cheap grains that upset the delicate pH balance in the bladder. When the pH balance is out of the normal range, bladder crystals form and bacteria proliferate. Feeding your dog a healthy, organic kibble made from real meat, healthy oils, whole grains and vegetables will help your dog’s pH level return to normal.

Most importantly, give your dog a supplement to dissolve bladder crystals quickly without side effects. It pays to do your research here because not all supplements are created equal. Look for one that contains proven herbs like Uva Ursi, Staphysagris and Cantharis. These herbs taken together in a quality formulation are the best, safest and most effective means of treating bladder stones in dogs and dissolving them completely. In addition to restoring the pH, they will also soothe and heal inflamed tissues, quickly reducing pain and swelling. Although they are highly effective, they are gentle enough to use every day for dogs that tend to have bladder-related issues or for older dogs.

In addition to the steps outlined above to quickly treat bladder stones in dogs, make sure your dog gets regular exercise and plenty of love and affection. Taking these simple, practical steps will dissolve bladder crystals fast, boost your dog’s immunity and ensure that your dog has a long, happy, disease-free life.
